Scabies Advisory for EMS
Due to recently reported small outbreaks of scabies in several medical facilities within Region IV and the surrounding area, the region is forwarding an advisory from DPH for EMS providers regarding Scabies, how it manifests, is transmitted, and precautions that should be taken by clinicians. This advisory is designed to provide basic information regarding Scabies in an effort to keep our providers informed regarding potential risks they may face in the field. Should providers have further questions regarding Scabies they should either contact their service medical director.
